Title: With Arms Wide Open By: Suzy Category: H/Mac R Rating: PG Summery: Harm gets a surprise on Fathers Day Disclaimer: I don't own them. Big important people with corporate lawyers do. Sorry for any confusion. Posting: Sure. Archive it where ever, just let me know! 2330 Zulu Rabb Residence North of Union Station Harm tiredly dug his key out of his pocket. The elevator was broken. Again. He and his wife of 3 months had recently begun to look around for a house, but had yet to find the perfect place to raise the houseful of kids they wanted. Entering the apartment he looked around for his wife. "Sarah?" he called out. Her car was in the parking lot so he wasn't too worried but she had been sick the past couple of days so he was just a little worried. Setting his cover on the coffee table in the living room he found a card with his name and a post it note saying "Open me-NOW" in Mac's handwriting on it. Opening the envelope he pulled out a card that had a bulge in it. It read "Happy Fathers Day… Daddy" inside with a little white plastic stick that had blue lines on it. He just sat and stared at the card. "Harm?" Mac asked, biting her lip while standing in the doorway to the kitchen. "Sarah…is this…are we…are you?" Harm stuttered. "I think pregnant is the word you are looking for, and yes, I haven't been sick these past few days; it's been morning sickness." Standing up, Harm gently guided Mac to the couch and sat next to her and gently kissed her lips. "So are you happy then?" Mac asked. "Oh Ninja Girl, I'm not happy; I'm ecstatic! How far along are you?" "One month. He or she is due in February." Moving to his knees in front of Mac, Harm placed his hand gently on her still flat belly. "Hello little One, I'm your daddy." Tears glistened in Mac's eyes at the sweet scene before her. When Harm looked up she saw tears of joy streaming down his cheeks. "I love you Marine." "I love you too Flyboy." 15 February 2002 Mac rolled over in her hospital bed, waking up. Looking over she saw Harm sitting in a rocking chair, a tiny pink bundle in his arms. Mac couldn't help but smile. She was still tired but she couldn't help but watch her husband sing to the little girl. "Mac, you're awake!" Harm whispered, trying not to disturb the little day old girl in his arms. "How are you feeling?" "Tired and sore, but I'll live. How's she doing?" "Sleepy, but hungry." He said and gently handed the little girl to her mother who began to feed the little girl. The admiral knocked on the door and stuck his head in. "Colonel, Commander is it alright if I come in?" "Yes sir. Sir, meet Catherine Patricia." Harm said. "Would you like to hold her sir?" Mac asked now that Catherine had been fed and burped. "Could I?" AJ asked. "Of course. Sir, Harm and I were wondering; would you mind being her godfather?" Mac said. "I'd be honored. Are you sure you want me to be her godfather though?" "Yes sir. After all you have done for us, we feel that you would make an excellent godfather for her." Harm answered. "Hello Catherine Patricia. That's a mouthful for a little girl like you so I think I'll call you Katie P. Welcome to this world Katie P." AJ said. Well I just heard the news today It seems my life is going to change I closed my eyes, begin to pray Then tears of joy stream down my face With arms wide open Under the sunlight Welcome to this place I'll show you everything With arms wide open Well I don't know if I'm ready To be the man I have to be I'll take a breath, take her by my side We stand in awe, we've created life With arms wide open Under the sunlight Welcome to this place I'll show you everything With arms wide open Now everything has changed I'll show you love I'll show you everything With arms wide open If I had just one wish Only one demand I hope he's not like me I hope he understands That he can take this life And hold it by the hand And he can greet the world With arms wide open... The End. Happy Fathers Day to all current and soon-to-be dads. This is especially dedicated to my dad. Happy Fathers Day, I love you! The song is "With Arms Wide Open" by Creed.
