Hotel Bora Bora She couldn’t get over how beautiful everything was here. It was wonderful. The turquoise water lapped gently over the white sand and the green islands rose majestically out of the water. This place was paradise. The JAG officers and their families stepped off of the luxury private jet and into the cars waiting for them. Within a few moments, they arrived at ‘Hotel Bora Bora’. “The Grand Dame of luxury Hotels in French Polynesia.” It was a magnificent place. There were six connected over water bungalows and the excited group of travelers were occupying those beautiful spaces. Colonel Sarah MacKenzie reached over and gave her partners mother, Trish Burnett, a warm hug. “Thank you for bringing us here.” Trish smiled and hugged her back. “You’re very welcome darling.” She glanced over at her son, and her husband and smiled. This place was a miracle worker in its own. Maybe a week here would make the JAG officers forget about the week from hell they had just endured. So quickly after her sons near fatal crash, tragedy struck again. That dreadful man, Clark Palmer, decided to terrorize the tight knit group once again. His first victim was a very nice young man. Gunny. The second victim, not such a nice woman, but any death is sad. Even that of Lt. Singer. Her darling Sarah was next. That dreadful man knew what she meant to his son, and he kidnapped her as to get to him. He had every intention of killing her as well, but luckily they had found her first. After that, the admiral demanded the week off for him, and for his officers who had suffered the hands of this man. Once Harm had called and told her what was going on, Trish and Frank called “Hotel Bora Bora” and booked the six over water bungalows. They were gonna give there son and his friends a vacation they would never forget. The owner of the resort greeted them as they walked in the main building. “Mr. & Mrs. Burnett. It’s wonderful to see you again. Is this everyone?” Seeing Frank’s nod, he continued. “Mr. & Mrs. Burnett, you two are in Bungalow one.” He handed them the key and looked down at his list. “Mr. & Mrs. Roberts, you are in Bungalow two. The second room has already been equipped with a child size bed and a crib. I didn’t know what you preferred.” He smiled as Harriet took the key. “Mr. Chegwidden and Dr. Walden, you are in Bungalow three.” He handed him the key and continued. “Mr. Tiner and Mr. Webb are in bungalow four.” Webb reached out and took the key and looked over at Tiner. They both glared at the amusement of their friends. “Mr. Turner and Ms. Latham are in bungalow five.” Ms. Latham reached out an took the key. This lady looks familiar he thought. He looked at the last names on the list. Mr. Rabb, Ms. MacKenzie and young miss Madison will be in bungalow six.” Harm and Mac looked at each other, eyes wide and mouths open. They missed the brilliant smiles Chloe shared with the rest of their friends as she reached for the key. “You people have a wonderful trip.” Trish tried to hide her grin. “Ok, guys, lets get settled in so we can go to dinner.” They all began to walk when a voice stopped them. “Freeze.” Mac said. “No one is going anywhere.” End Pt. 1. Feedback is a must. Part 2 “Is there something wrong, Darling?” Trish asked. “Yeah. There is. Not to be ungrateful, ma’am, but Harm and myself staying together isn’t the greatest idea. I mean… shouldn’t we sleep in…. um… gender based rooms?” Frank smiled. “You mean like girls with girls and boys with boys?” Mac nodded. “Honey, we could do that, but I’m sure Admiral would much rather share a room with the lovely Dr. Walden then with Harm, and I’m positive that the same goes with Turner and Congresswoman Latham.” Bobbie smiled, “Mr. Burnett, you’ve paid for all of us to come to this beautiful place, please call me Bobbie.” Frank smiled. “Mac, honey, I know this will be awkward, but everyone is… involved except you, Kevin, Mr. Webb and Harm. And since the two of you have spent the night in the same room before, I thought it would be ok.” Mac sighed and looked at Harm and Chloe. “I see your point.” She picked up her bag. Come on ‘Honey’, lets go find our rooms.” Chloe smiled at Trish and Frank and followed Mac and Harm to there rooms. Once everyone had gone, Trish looked at her husband and smiled. “This was a great idea.” *** “Harm,” Mac said when they were alone in there room, “Why do I feel like this was a set up?” He shrugged. “I dunno. But if it bothers you so bad, you can share with Chloe and I can sleep alone.” Mac started to nod her agreement when Chloe interrupted. “No.” Mac turned. “Excuse me?” “Mac, no. I hate sharing a room. I get claustrophobic.” Mac raised her eyebrows and crossed her arms over her chest. “Really. Once I got used to having my own, big room at Daddy’s and Grandma’s, I can’t share a room anymore.” Mac looked at Harm and rolled her eyes. She finally smiled. “Ok, fine, but flyboy don’t hog the covers.” Harm smiled and looked at Chloe. “Hey Miss Madison…. Race ya to the water.” Chloe smiled and took off to her room to change. Harm looked at Mac. “It’ll be ok. We’ll be just fine. And if you’ll excuse me, I have a race to win.” Mac smiled and sat down on the bed. She looked at Harm as he ran with Chloe out onto the beach. Maybe this wouldn’t be ok after all. *** Harriet smiled at Bud and AJ as they headed out to the beach. Bud looked back and waved. She waved back and went to change into her own swim suit. The light blue one piece was fashionable and looked lovely on her, but she couldn’t help but wish she could pull off a bikini like the ones Mac and Bobbie were sure to be wearing. Once she was changed, she headed gown the walkway to the sixth bungalow. She took a breath and knocked on the door. Mac checked her appearance in the mirror and smiled before answering the door. “Harriet, hi.” She smiled at her friend and opened the door wider. Harriet smiled at Mac, only a bit of envy in her eyes. The pale pink bikini barely covered her ample breasts and the bottoms came below her belly button. The pink stone in her navel shone brilliantly. “What’s up, Harriet?” She tied the sheer sarong around her waist and stepped into her pink flip flops. “Harm’s gonna die when he sees you.” Mac laughed and pulled own a pair of sunglasses. “I just came by to make sure you were going out to the beach. I wanted someone to talk to while the children and AJ & Chloe played.” Mac laughed. “It’s funny isn’t it. How Chloe and AJ are at the same maturity level as Harm and Bud.” She sighed and looked at her friend. “Harriet, I don’t know if I can do this.” End part 2 Hotel Bora Bora Tsarina Smith Part 3 Harriet smiled and led her friend over to the couch. “Mac, it’ll be ok. You and Harm are friends. And you guys have been through so much. I know you can manage sharing a room for a week. Besides, how much will we really be in the room. We’re gonna be on the beach, on the Burnett’s yacht, out to dinner, sight-seeing. We’ll probably only be in the rooms to sleep.” She looked at Mac and noticed her expression. “Unless you wanna be in the room for more.” Mac opened her mouth, about to say something, when Bobbie walked in. Her pale green bikini, just as “not there” as Mac’s. “Are you ladies going down to the beach or just lounge around inside all day?” Bobbie crossed her arms over her chest. She sighed. “What’s wrong Mac?” Mac sighed. “Nothing you guys. I’m fine. I’m FINE. Come on, lets go to the beach.” Mac grabbed a bag and a towel and walked down to the beach, leaving Harriet and Bobbie to sigh and shake their heads. They got down on the beach and spread their towels over the padded blue chairs. Sydney, Trish, the Admiral and Frank were already down there. Trish and Sydney had already begun talking and were conversing as if they had been best friends for years. They looked over and saw the younger women getting situated and got up, pulling their chairs and their things over to them. “Would you look at them.” Sydney said to Mac. “We should have left them at home. We’ not gonna be able to relax any this week.” Harriet smiled and watched her husband and son. “I’m used to it.” Mac watched as Harm chased Chloe down. Chloe laughed and tossed the football down before he could grab it. “Touchdown!” She yelled. Trish smiled as she watched them too. “That son of mine needs to hurry up and make me a grandmother.” Her, Sydney, Bobbie and Harriet looked over at Mac. Mac felt four pair of eyes staring at her. “Oh for Gods, sake, I’m going to play with the guys. They actually know how to have fun.” She got up, reached in her bag and pulled on a pair of soft gray shorts and ran over to the guys. “And he also needs to hurry up and make Mac my daughter and law.” Harriet smiled and nodded. “I’ve been telling Bud they should get married for years, but I’ve never done anything to push them along. I’m so glad you thought of this, Trish. You’ll probably achieve in one week, what I haven’t been able to do in 4 years.” Sydney, Bobbie and Trish laughed. Bobbie put on her sunglasses and laid back. “Well, no matter what happens, it will be an interesting trip. *** Harm smiled as Mac picked up AJ and swung him around. Chloe then ran over and gave her a hug. She was gonna make such a great mom one day. Hell, if they could both stay single for 2 more years, they could finally make that promise a reality. ‘Why in the hell did I say five years?’ Harm thought. ‘Why not five days. Or hell, five minutes.’ He walked over to the four of them and grabbed the football out of Chloe’s arm. “I got it!” Chloe pulled away from Mac and ran after him. Mac smiled and carried AJ over to Bud and his namesake. “How are you guys doing?” AJ (the big one) smiled. “Harm’s parent’s are something aren’t they?” “Yes, sir. They are.” Bud said. “Son, we are on a beautiful beach. My girlfriend and your wife are sun bathing together. Mac is holding your son and Harm is chasing Chloe after a football. I think ‘Sir’ is a little formal. Please call me AJ.” Bud nodded. “Yes si… AJ.” Mac smiled. “Take your son, Bud. I’m gonna go get Harriet and go for a swim.” She ran over to Harriet. “Come on. Lets go for a swim.” Harriet nodded and got out of the chair. She pulled her hair back as Mac discarded her shorts, and they ran into the turquoise water. *** Tiner and Mr. Webb stepped out of their bungalow and on to the beach. “Hello ladies.” Webb said. “Hello darlings.” Trish said standing up. “What took you so long.” Tiner grimaced. “Webb here, decided to be brilliant and go though all of my stuff to make sure I didn’t have anything that would capture his deepest, darkest secrets.” “What?” Webb screeched. “I had to protect myself. I couldn’t have anyone finding out any of my secrets.” He looked out at the water. “Whoa. Check out the babe in the pink.” Tiner turned to look. “Damn…” He whispered. Then his face reddened. “I’m sorry ladies.” Trish smiled. “It’s okay darling. But You may not want to admire the young woman too much. It happens to be Colonel MacKenzie.” Tiner’s face reddened even more. He looked at the group of smiling face. “I’m going back up to the room.” He headed up to his room. Webb nodded awkwardly and looked the women’s smiling faces. “I think I’m gonna go back to the room as well.” He walked back to his bungalow and the women burst into laughter. *** Harm glanced over at Mac and Harriet as they walked out of the ocean. ‘God she’s beautiful.’ He thought as he looked at his dripping wet partner. That belly button ring wasn’t there last time he saw her in a bikini. He looked over at the group of women laying in the chairs and sighed. This was gonna be an awesome trip. He just knew it. He was still staring when AJ walked over. “Harm, why don’t we all go in and take those beautiful women out to dinner.” He smiled at his boss. “That sounds like a great idea.” The two of them walked over to them where Bud & little AJ were now sitting on the edge of Harriet’s chair. “Ladies, can we interest y’all in going to dinner… sooner rather then later?” Mac smiled and crossed her legs at the ankles. “Like, now, Flyboy?” “Hungry again, Jarhead?” “Starved, Stickboy.” Their friends watched the smiling duo and got up, and went back to their rooms to change for dinner. Once in their room, Mac went into the bathroom. “I call first shower.” She smiled and shut the door behind him. From the room, he could hear the shower running. He pictured her, that small bikini now laying in a wet pile on the floor. He pictured the water running down those beautiful breasts and her using that little white sponge he saw in her bag running over that awesome body. He collapsed in the chair. “Damn, I need a cold shower now.” End Part 3 Part 4 The large group made quite a splash upon entering the beautiful restaurant. Every male eye in the room diverted to Mac while the female eyes landed on Harm. He looked almost as magnificent in khaki’s and a navy polo shirt as he did in dress whites. And Mac looked stunning in a short, navy blue dress. He couldn’t help but place a protective arm on her lower back as they followed the host to their table. Harm leaned over to whisper to her, “Have I told you how beautiful you look tonight?” Mac shook her head and smiled. “You look pretty nice yourself.” Trish and Bobbie noticed the little exchange and smiled at each other and then at Harriet. Once they were seated and began to order, Mac noticed a slightly familiar woman staring at Harm. She frowned and tried to remember where she knew her from. AJ noticed her face and looked. “Oh damn.” He muttered. ‘Why. Why. Why. Why.’ Could they not have one peaceful vacation? At that moment, the woman made her way over to the table. “Harm, it’s nice to see you..” She said. He stood up and smiled. He walked over to her and pulled her into his arms. “It’s great to see you too.” Harriet frowned as she noticed the hurt look in Mac’s eyes. Trish frowned as well. “Harm, darling, aren’t you going to introduce us to your friend?” Harm pulled away and smiled. “Everyone, this is Meg Austin. Meg, this is My mom, my step dad, Harriet, Bobbie, Turner, Tiner, Webb, Sydney, Mac, and of course you know the Admiral and Bud.” Bud walked over to her and gave her a hug as well. “Meg, it’s been a while. How have you been?” She smiled. “I’ve been great.” Seeing the frowns on the women’s face, caused her smile to get larger. “Actually, I’m here on my honeymoon.” Meg laughed out loud seeing the look of shock on Mac’s face. “We came down last week and tonight’s our last night here. I can’t believe I saw y’all.” She looked around the table. “Mac, I’ve heard so much about you.” Her eyes widened and looked over at Bud and Harm. They avoided her glance. She cleared her throat. “Um..” *ahem* “I’ve heard a lot about you too.” *** After dinner, Trish & Frank decided to go back to their bungalow. The rest were sitting on the cars trying to decide what to do next. Harm smiled. “Let’s go dancing. Last time I came here was for my graduation present from when I left the academy. There is an awesome club a few blocks down. it’s a little wild, but it’s awesome.” Everyone agreed enthusiastically, except for AJ & Sydney. “I think we’re gonna call it a night.” Sydney said. “It’s been a wonderful evening though.” Her and AJ joined hands and walked over to their car and left. The rest of them looked at each other. “Well?” Mac said, what are we waiting for?” *** Harm and Mac led the way into “Have a nice day Cafe” , the popular night club. Lights were flashing and loud music blared from the speakers. Shockingly though, it wasn’t full of college kids. It was mostly people there age. And maybe they were a little old for the music, but that was one reason Harm suggested the place. It’d give him a chance to grind on the dance floor with his beautiful partner. He grabbed her hand. “Come on, lets dance.” “To this? How would you even dance to this?” Harm pointed to the dance floor. “Come on, Marine, I’m sure you can do that.” She shrugged and followed them to the floor. Turner and Bobbie followed. Bud and Harriet looked at the grinding couples apprehensively. Tiner smiled at a woman across the dance floor and walked over to her. “Would you like to dance!” He practically had to yell over the music. She nodded and sat her drink down and walked with him over to the floor. He put his hands on her hips and she looped her arms around his neck and they began to sway to the music. Her hips grinding against him. Webb, Harriet and Bud watched the couples. “Wow,” Bud said, “I didn’t know Tiner could do that.” Their mouths dropped as she began to lower herself, Tiner’s hands tangling in her hair and then she moved back up and they began grinding again. “Speaking of ‘whoa’”, Harriet said, “Take a look over there.” She pointed to Harm and Mac, where they were dancing very similarly, only Mac was laughing because Turner was behind her, grinding that way. He leaned over and kissed her cheek before turning back to Bobbie. Harriet, Bud and Webb looked at each other. “I’ll never see any of them the same way ever again.” Webb said. Harriet and Bud laughed and sipped their drinks. *** Unlocking the door to their bungalow, they sighed. “That was some evening, flyboy.” Mac smiled and walked past him into Chloe’s room. She pulled the covers up over the little girl and leaned down to kiss her forehead. Harm smiled at the tender sight. They went into the bedroom and Mac went into the bathroom to get ready for bed. She pulled on a pair of navy blue shorts, just like the gray ones she wore earlier that day and a white tank top. She washed her face and went into the bedroom. Harm had changed, and was now wearing only a pair of navy blue pajama pants with little white planes on them. She smiled and climbed into bed beside him. “Goodnight Harm.” Harm rolled over and turned off the light. “Goodnight Mac.” End part 4 Hotel Bora Bora Tsarina Smith Part 5 The next morning Mac awoke with a feeling of warmth surrounding her. She opened her eyes and saw that she was in bed alone. Yet, the windows were opened and the terrace doors were open allowing that wonderful breeze in. She got out of bed and walked to the terrace. Stepping outside she could see Harm, Bud and little AJ playing in the sand. What a sight. God she hoped something happened this week. “So, did you have fun last night Harm?” Bud asked as they helped AJ build a sand castle. Harm stopped what he was doing. “Bud, last night was incredible. I never imagined I’d get to dance with Mac that way.” Bud smiled. “I can tell. You guys, Bobbie & Turner and Tiner and the girls he danced with kept us amused all night. We almost died when Turner came up behind Mac and started….. Um…. ‘dancing’ with y’all. “ Harm laughed at how difficult that had been to get out. “Well, from what I could gather when I talked to Turner this morning, he got very lucky last night.” Bud gaped at him. “Sir… I mean Harm. No way. You mean, the Congresswoman and Turner?” He smiled and nodded. “So… did you get lucky last night? Harriet was looking pretty incredible herself.” Bud’s eyes widened and he turned about 3 different shades of red. “well, sir, I mean…” “It’s ok, Bud. I’m just teasing you.” He sighed. “Unless I’m wrong and I didn’t see Tiner leave with that one hot red headed girl, I’d say Webb and Myself were the only ones who didn’t get any last night.” Bud swallowed and wondered if he should say something. “Well, actually, Harm, when I stopped by Webb’s room this morning to ask if he wanted to come out with us… he was um..” Bud continued to blush. “Oh Lord.” Harm said. “I am sharing a bed with the most stunning woman on this island, yet I am the only one NOT getting any.” Bud looked down at his son. “Hopefully, AJ here isn’t getting any either.” Harm burst out laughing , causing Bud and then little AJ to laugh. *** Harriet stopped by Trish’s room and knocked on the door. A radiant Trish opened the door and welcomed her in. “Well, Harriet,” she said, “How was last night?” “Ooh. You should have seen Mac and Harm on the dance floor.” “Mac and Harm on the dance floor? What’d they do? Did he finally kiss her?” Harriet and Trish both turned to look at Chloe and smiled. “Chloe came over early this morning.” Trish said as she pulled the girl down beside her. “She was just bursting at the seems to get the low down on last night. She was pretty ticked to learn I didn’t go to the club with you guys. So now, you have to tell both of us. What happened last night?” She smiled and began to tell the story. *** Sydney stretched in the huge bed and rolled over to wake AJ with a late morning kiss. He stirred gently and rolled over. She smiled, knowing she’d have to work harder. Sydney ran her hands down his back and placed a gentle kiss on his neck. AJ smiled and turned back over facing the beautiful woman in his bed. “Good morning honey.” She smiled, kind of a “I’m the cat that ate the canary smile,” and kissed him again. “So,” she said, as she ran her hands over his chest, “are you glad you didn’t go to the club with everyone last night?” He grabbed her and rolled them over. Placing a gentle kiss on her lips, “You have no idea how glad.” He kissed her again, deepening it. Sydney slipped her hand down beneath the blankets and slid his boxers off and rolled them back over so that she was on top. She sat on top of him and began moving, slowly at first, and then harder till he was matching her movements. When they came, it was together. She pulled off and collapsed beside him. “I love you.” He whispered. She gently kissed him back. “I love you too.” *** Mac sliced a strawberry in half and dipped it in a small bowl of whipped cream. She popped the ripe berry in her mouth. Harm walked in as she dipped the other half in the cream, and then into her mouth. Harm put his hand on the door frame, holding on for dear life. ‘God, look at that mouth.’ he thought. “Hey Ninja Girl.” He realized he should make his presence known before thinking of that mouth did anything visible to his body. She turned and looked at him. “Hey Harm.” She slices another strawberry and takes a small bite. “These are very good. “ He can’t seem to remove the grin from his face. He would love to start every day like this. She was so cute. ‘Cute? Did I just call a marine ‘cute’?’ He sighed. But she was cute. Her little shorts and little tank top. She was sitting cross legged on top of the counter, eating strawberries and whipped cream. He’d love to have a picture of that. Then he remembered. He had a camera in his bag. Without a word, he walked into the bedroom and grabbed a camera out of his bag. He quietly walked back the kitchen table, so that he was facing her. “Hey Mac…” She looked up and he snapped the picture. “Harm!” She jumped off the counter and tried to grab the camera from him. He held it out of her reach and moved backwards. He put the camera on the table and grabbed her hands. “Apologize Colonel.” “No way.” “Mac…” he smiled. “Think of what a cute picture that will make on the JAG website.” She grinned. “Harm, you wouldn’t dare.” She reached around him and tried to grab the camera. He grabbed her around the waist and held her closely to him. She looked up with him her big brown eyes and hoped he wouldn’t notice how labored her breathing was. He looked down at her, his blue green eyes at her perfect face. He put a hand on her cheek. The cool metal of his academy ring in contrast with the heat from his hand created an unusual sensation on her face. He lowered his lips to hers and they were about to kiss when Chloe burst through the door. “Hey Guys!” Harm groaned. He wasn’t sure if it was audible to Mac, but it was sure as hell audible to him. And to his heart. He dropped his hand from her face. “Hey Chloe. What’s up.” Damnit. Damnit. Chloe thought to herself. Why did I have to walk in? Why? She forced a smile. “Hey guys! Guess what! Trish wants to go on the yacht today. Are you guys gonna come? Never mind. Of course you. Get in the shower so we can hurry and go!” Mac smiled at the girls enthusiasm. She grabbed her face and planted a kiss on her forehead. “Ok, ok. I’m gonna go take a shower. When I get done, Harm can take his. Then we’ll go. Ok?” Chloe smiled. “Ok.” Once Mac was gone, she looked at Harm. “So… What would have happened if my timing was as good as my sisters.” Harm smiled and picked up a strawberry. He inspected it, ate it and then walked into the living room, leaving a frustrated Chloe behind. *** Bobbie and Turner were the last to board the yacht. Bobbie looked radiant. Her pale blue dress fell just below her knees and her hair was clipped back. Turner looked just as handsome. His faded jeans and white polo shirt made him look so relaxed and happy. “You guys are late.” Mac said. She was lounged in a chair, sipping a glass of iced tea. Bobbie smiled looking at her. She had never seen a marine wear such… ‘girly’ stuff before. She had on a pair of khaki Capri pants and a pale pink tank top. She had on pale pink beaded thong flops and pink clips in her hair. She looked beautiful. And at peace. None of them had ever seen her like this before. Maybe the tall, gorgeous pilot who was helping her with the little pink beaded necklace was the reason for it. Harriet walked out onto the deck of the ship and noticed Harm helping Mac with her necklace. She thought they were adorable. And Mac… she had no idea she owned such cute, fashionable clothes. She was absolutely adorable. “Charles,” Trish called, “We can leave now.” The boat slowly started to move and Trish settled into a chair. She took off her blouse and her shorts and started her sun bathing naptime. Harriet looked at her and decided she had the right idea. Harriet pulled off her own tank top and shorts and laid in the chair next to her. Bud sat on the edge of his wife’s chair and poured some of the sunscreen into his hands. Harriet smiled and lifted up her soft blonde hair. Bud sighed as he smoothed the sun screen on his wife’s soft skin. He loved touching her. Even in ways as simple as these. When he was one, he kissed her on the neck and let her get comfortable. After a bout an hour of sailing, they anchored the small ship and Chloe ran over to Mac. “Hey, is it okay if I go for a swim?” Mac looked at the water, making sure the waves didn’t look too strong. “Sure sweetie. Just don’t go to far out.” Chloe nodded and went to the ladder and climbed down into the water. Mac sat on the edge of the boat watching her. The little girl was probably one of the biggest joys in her life. She was so full of life. So sweet and bubbly and fun to be around. Harm noticed Mac, and walked over to sit next to her. “Hey.” He said. She smiled up at him. “Hey.” “What’cha thinking about?” She sighed. “How much I love that little girl.” And then she looked over to where Frank and Trish were playing with AJ. “And how much I love that little boy.” ‘And how much I want a child of my own. Our child.’ She wished she had the nerve to vocalize her third thought. But she couldn’t. maybe someday, but not just yet. Harm smiled. “I know. They’re great kids aren’t they?” Mac nodded. The little boy seemed to just notice them. “Mac!” he screamed. He toddled over to her and she picked him up. “Hey Mr. Man.” She kissed his cheek and sat him on her lap. Harm leaned over and ruffled his hair. He whispered something to Mac which made the two of them laugh. Trish grabbed the camera laying beside her and took a quick picture. Her son, his soul mate and a laughing little boy. The happy moment was destroyed when a scream came form the water. “Help!” Chloe screamed. “Someone help me!” With one second, Harm was up and his shirt was being pulled over his head. He swam quickly to Chloe and wrapped his arm around her waist. “Are you ok?“ Harm asked her. She nodded. “I got a cramp. I was so scared. All of a sudden, I couldn’t move and I was going under. I thought I was going to die.“ “It’s ok.“ Harm whispered. “I’ve got you.“ He swam them over to the side of the boat. AJ ran over and grabbed his namesake while Bud and Mac helped pull Harm and Chloe in. Mac pulled Chloe to her and wrapped a towel around her. She held her ‘sister’ while Chloe cried and harm sat down next to them, wrapping his arms around the two of them. AJ, Trish, Frank and Sydney looked at the three of them. They were an unconventional family, but in a way, the three of them were a family. They were all so at ease and comfortable together. Sydney hated to interrupt, but she wanted to examine Chloe. Just in case. “Honey,” Sydney said. “Mind if I take a look at you real quick? You gave us quite a scare.” Chloe pulled away from Mac. “It was just a cramp.” “I know, but better to be safe them sorry.” Chloe nodded and sat in a chair. Sydney disappeared to get her medical bag an appeared a few minutes. She sat on the edge of Chloe’s chair and checked her heartbeat and examined her arms and legs. “Just a cramp. But I’m sure we all feel a lot better knowing you’ll be okay. Are you sure you’re not having any trouble breathing?” “I’m fine Dr. Walden.” Sydney smiled and took her stethoscope off. “That’s ‘Sydney’ to you young lady.” Chloe smiled and thanked the doctor. She looked at Trish. “Trish, I know it’s kind of out of character for me, but my almost drowning has me kind of tired. Can I go take a quick nap?” Trish smiled. “Sure honey. Take any bedroom you like.” “Thank you.” She picked up her bag so she could change into dry clothes and sighed as Mac insisted she go downstairs with her to make sure she got settled alright. Turner looked at Harm and stood. “Harm, can I talk to you for a minute?” Harm looked at him and nodded. Turner led him to a private room in the cabin. They sat on a sofa and Turner began to speak. “Harm, you and I have been friends for a long time. I care about you and I respect you.” “Turner, I’m flattered. I had no idea you felt that way.” Harm joked. “Harm. Shut up. I’m trying to be serious. When are you going to get your head out of your six and realize that everything you could possibly want is in a room down the hall getting a little girl settled in. Do you not see what the rest of us see? When are you going to wake up and go after that woman? She is beautiful. And smart and loving. Why won’t you give yourself a chance to be happy?” End part 5 Hotel Bora Bora Tsarina Smith Part 6 Harm sighed. He looked at his long time friend. “I don’t know Turner. It’s complicated, ya know. I mean, I care a lot about Mac, I mean, she’s my best friend and everything. “ He looked at Turner. He was sitting there, arms crossed over his chest, looking at harm as if he had two heads. “What?” Harm said. “What do you want me to say? Do you want me to say I love her more then life itself? Fine. I do. I love her so much it makes me sick. I love the way she walks, I love the way she laughs. I love the way she’ll order a double cheeseburger with everything and a diet coke. I love the way she can walk into a room and I know that no matter what, I’ll never again see anyone that beautiful. I love the fact that she has been through hell and back, and yet she keeps it all together. And I love the fact that she was willing to take a chance on us over a year ago and I hate the fact that I was to much of a dumbass to take her into my arms and tell her I felt the same way.” He sighed and looked at him. “I love her, okay. I’ve loved her from the day I first saw her in the White House Rose Garden, I loved her when she ducked under the table when I fired that gun in the courtroom. I loved her when she was so brave when we were in the mountains. I loved her when she followed me to Russia. I loved her when she was engaged to another man. I have loved her from day one and I will love her till the day I die. Is that what you wanted to hear?” Turner nodded. “Yeah. I wanted to hear that, but I think Mac would love to hear it even more.” Harm nodded. “I know. I just can’t. Turner, she has been so much. If I hurt her, it will kill me.” He looked at his hands. “We work together. One of us would have to transfer. And… she has worked so hard to get to where she is. I will tell her. When the time is right.” *** Later, that evening, they had docked at a nearby island to have dinner. Harriet looked around the restaurant. “Wow.” She said. Bud took the hand that wasn’t attached to their son and led her over to the table. He held out her chair and once she had sat, he pushed the chair in. “You look beautiful.” He whispered. And she did look beautiful. The pale blue spaghetti strap dress looked perfect on her. The blue dress and the blonde hair, not to mention her perfect smile almost had Bud at a loss for words. Harriet smiled at him and leaned over to give her husband a soft kiss. Bud looked over at Harm who was pulling out Mac’s chair. She looked lovely as well. His eyes moved around the table, looking at Turner and Bobbie, the Admiral and Sydney, Trish and Frank… all the couples were all so happy. Why couldn’t Harm just act normal for once and realize that Mac was perfect for him. Bud sighed. He just wanted his best friends to find what him and Harriet had found. Harm couldn’t get over how beautiful Mac looked. Her strapless lavender dress looked perfect on her. ‘God what that woman does for short dresses & high heels should be illegal.’ Mac couldn’t take her eyes off of Harm. ‘It should be illegal to be this gorgeous. ‘ he had on khakis and a long sleeved red button down shirt. He was absolutely beautiful. She smiled at him and then looked up at the waiter. “I’ll have iced tea, please.” The waiter smiled at her. “Are you sure? You look like a…. strawberry daiquiri woman.” She shook her head. “No thank you. I don’t drink.” The waiter nodded. “Would you like to try a virgin one?” ‘He was persistent .’ “Sure. Thank you.” He smiled and walked away. Harm pouted and leaned back in his chair. “Sure that’s fine. I wasn’t wanting to order a drink or anything.” Not to mention he was insanely jealous the way this man was hitting on his Sarah. ‘Whoa. MY Sarah. Where in the hell did that come from.’ The waiter came back at that moment with everyone’s drinks. “Excuse me.” Harm said flatly. “I didn’t get a chance to order.” The waiter turned from Mac to look at Harm. “Oh I’m sorry. I was distracted by this beautiful woman.” He turned back to her and smiled. “What can I get for you sir?” Harm gritted his teeth. “I’d like a glass of sweet tea.” “Coming right up.” he took one last look at her and walked away. “Harm,” Mac started, “You may want to be a little more pleasant . He’s just being friendly.” He sighed. “Yeah, friendly to you. He’s not being very friendly to the rest of us.” Mac rolled her eyes and turned to Tiner, and began talking to him. Turner looked at Harm. He leaned over and whispered. “She’s a beautiful woman. She’s not going to wait around for you forever.” Harm sighed and took a sip of the water the waiter had just sat in front of him. The waiter went around the table, taking their food orders and he left once again. The Admiral and Sydney got up to dance. Harm watched as his boss took the lovely doctor into his arms. He stood up. “Mac, would you care to dance?” She smiled and stood up. “I’d love to.” They walked out on to the dance floor. He took her into his arms, loving the way it felt. She was a perfect fit. “This song is kind of appropriate for us, isn’t it?” Mac strained to recognize what it was. Realizing the what it was, she smiled. “Yeah, it is.” Oh, why you look so sad? The tears are in your eyes Come on and come to me now But don't, be ashamed to cry, let me see you through 'Cause I've been in the dark side to When the night falls on you, and you don't know what to do Nothing you confess, could make me love you less I’ll stand by you, I’ll stand by you Won’t let nobody hurt you, I’ll stand by you. Mac tightened her arms around him and buried her face in his shoulder. She loved holding him this way. She loved him so much. ‘I wish he was ready.’ So, if you're mad, get mad, don't hold it all inside Come on and talk to me now Hey, what you got to hide? I get angry too Well, I'm a lot like you When you're standing at the crossroads But don't know, which path to choose Let me come alone, 'cause even if you're wrong I’ll stand by you, I’ll stand by you Won’t let nobody hurt you, I’ll stand by you. Harm tightened his arms around her waist. Mac had been there for him through everything. She was always there when he needed her. She had protected him, watched over him and loved him. Even when he was the most difficult person in the world to love. And no matter how hard it was, he was going to tell her how he felt. The song continued and they continued holding one another. Everyone at their table was captivated by them. How they held each other. And their little movement other then swaying to the music. The way Mac threaded her fingers in his hair. The way his hands did more then just rest on the small of her back. He ran his hands in little circles as he held her. The way his eyes were closed as he rested his head practically on top of hers. Love radiated from them. “I guess I should back off, huh?” The young waiter whispered to Webb. He nodded. “Yeah. Nothing will ever be able to fully separate those two.” The song ended and they walked back to the table. Harm looked at her and leaned over to whisper something in her ear. “After dinner we need to talk, ok?” Mac nodded. “Yeah.” End Part 6 *** The song is by the Pretenders; Called I’ll stand by you. Part 7 Finally, when the group was done eating, they made there way back outside. Everyone was headed back to the boat. “Mom,” Harm started, “Mac and I need to talk. Can you delay heading back to the rooms for about an hour?” She nodded. “Sure honey. She kissed his cheek. “Good Luck, darling.” Trish took her husbands hand and they walked back to the yacht, while Harm and Mac stood awkwardly outside of the restraint. “Walk?” Harm said. Mac nodded and they began to walk. “So, what do you want to talk about?” He sighed. He was NOT going to chicken out this time. “Us.” She held her breath. “What about us?” He stopped walking. “Mac, I love you?” “I love you too.” He shook his head. “No. I’m in love with you.” Harm sighed and started walking again. “I have been in love with you since the first day I saw you. In the rose garden. I was scared, so I didn’t do anything about it. I didn’t fully realize how much I loved you till I saw you get shot in the mountains by those poachers. If you had died or anything, I didn’t know how I would go on. But I couldn’t let on how I felt. We would have both gotten in so much trouble. So I covered up how I felt. I dated people who I cared for, but no one I truly loved.” He stopped again. “What I’m about to tell you, you probably won’t believe. But I’m gonna say it anyways. When I left JAG, to go back to flying, in a way I was doing it for us. I knew the distance would be difficult, but we wouldn’t be in the same chain of command anymore. But you hated me for leaving. And though I didn’t understand at the time, I understand now.” He started walking again. Mac pulled on his arm. “Stop. All this stopping and starting is making me dizzy. Lets sit down and talk.” They sat on a bench and he continued. “When I came back, you and Brumby were closer. And I was out of the picture. Then comes the stupidest moment of my life. Australia. Mac, that night on the ferry, if I could take it back I would. I would do anything to take that back and the months after that night. Things could be so different now. Maybe we would be married. Maybe we would have a baby of our own on the way. I wouldn’t have hurt Renee. You wouldn’t have hurt Mic. My crash probably would have never happened.” He sighed and looked at her. “I love you. I want to be with you. Now and always. Give me a chance to make up for all the time we’ve lost.” She shook her head. “Harm… I love you too. Like you, I always have and I always will. But I don’t want to make up for lost time. I want to live for the future. Our future. Now that we’re together the mistakes we’ve made in the past are irrelevant.” His eyes looked just as wet as hers. “I love you Harmon Rabb.” “And I love you, Sarah MacKenzie.” He leaned in to kiss her. “Are you sure you want to put up with me for as long as I have planned?” Mac smiled. “Is forever good for you?” “Forever.” He leaned in and kissed her. It was the sweetest kiss she had ever experienced. She put her arms around his neck and leaned into him. The kiss deepened. Harm couldn’t believe he had the woman of his dreams in his arms. All he wanted was right here. He pulled back from the kiss. “Love you.” “Love you.” She replied. He started to kiss her again, when she placed two manicured fingers on his lips. “We should be heading back.” He nodded. “Yeah. They’re waiting on us.” He stood up and extended his hand to her. She took his hand and they walked back to the ship. *** They walked on to a boat full of smiling people. “Charles,” Frank called, “We can leave now.” The boat slowly took off and the crowd dispersed, going into their own little worlds. “They all know.” Mac whispered. Harm smiled. “I know.” He gave her a small kiss and then went to find Webb. Mac smiled and walked over to Harriet and Chloe. “Chloe broke first. “Ok. I want details.” Mac smiled at Harriet’s enthusiastic nodding. “Ok. He told me he loved me. He told me he always had and always would. I told him I felt the same and we kissed. Now we’re here.” Harriet smiled. “I take it that was the condensed version.” “Yeah, it was. But it’s the most important words that were spoken.” *** Webb, Harm and AJ (the big one) sat on the side of the boat, smoking cigars. “I told her I loved her. I finally realized that I can’t go another moment without her knowing that I love her more then anything or anyone on this planet. I want to spend my life making her happy. Loving her.” AJ smiled. “It’s about damn time.” He sighed. “Since we are on vacation, and right now I am a friend, and not you boss, it’s ok. But your boss doesn’t want to hear about any of this. Not untill it becomes impossible to hide. Your boss doesn’t want to know about this till there is a diamond on her finger.” Harm nods. “Yes sir.” He looks at Webb and smiles. “Webb, I heard I was the only one who didn’t get lucky last night. I want details my friend.” he and AJ laughed as Webb turned different shades of red. *** Sydney and Trish sat in chairs on the deck and looked up at the sky. “Well, Trish,” Sydney started, “It looks like your wish came true.” Trish smiled. “I know. And I couldn’t be happier. It just hope they can be happy for a while before something has to be done about them at JAG.” Sydney nodded. “I know. That damn military and its restrictions.” “My first husband was NAVY. But since I was a civilian, it was ok. But, with Mac and Harm, it’s very different. Harm is my son and I love him more then anything, but I hope he’s the one that gets transferred out. Mac has had such a hard life and she has worked very hard to get where she’s at.” “I understand. She’s a remarkable woman. But seeing as to how she’s AJ’s Chief of Staff, I have a feeling when it comes time to transfer someone, it won’t be her.” *** When they got back to the resort that night, it took all they had not to crash on the boat. The walks to their bungalows just seemed too long. Chloe and AJ had both been asleep for quite sometime. Harm picked her up and carried her in, while Bud carried his sleeping little boy. Once in their room, Harm carried Chloe to her bed and pulled the covers up around her. He kissed her on her forehead before returning to his and Mac’s room. Mac was already asleep. He smiled and lifted her up so he could pull the covers back a bit. He pulled them over her and gently kissed her lips. “Goodnight Sarah. I love you.” *** The next morning, Mac awoke. Still in her dress from last night, and also in Harm’s warm embrace. She kissed him quickly before getting up to take a shower. She stepped under the hot water and just stood there. Thinking. ‘I’m so lucky’, she thought. ‘That man in that bed out there is the most amazing man in the worlds, and he’s mine. He loves me.’ She smiled at that thought and quickly finished showering. She put on her robe and walked out to the bedroom. He was still sound asleep. She sat on the edge of the bed and pushed a couple of strands of hair off of his forehead. Her gentle touch caused him to stir and a moment later his eyes were open. “Morning Flyboy.” He smiled. “Good morning beautiful.” He pulled her down for a quick kiss. “Think you’d be interested in waking me up like this every morning for the rest our lives?” She flashed him a brilliant smile. “I think that could be arranged.” He tried to kiss her again but she pushed herself up. “Sorry honey. Shower first. I’m gonna go get some coffee.” Harm nodded and pulled himself out of bed. He smiled as he watched her walk into the kitchen. He was a very lucky man. *** That afternoon was spent on the beach. Harm and Mac were the only ones out there. Harriet, little AJ, Chloe, Trish and Sydney went shopping. Turner and Bobbie went sightseeing. Tiner went out with one of the girls he had danced with in the club a couple of nights before. Webb, Bud, AJ and Frank went out on the yacht again. Only this time, they were going fishing. Mac groaned as she felt someone sprinkling sand on her midriff. “Harm you’re dead.” He smiled and dropped next to her on the sand. “You wouldn’t hurt a defenseless guy like me.” She lowered the blue sunglasses she was wearing to the bottom of her nose, so she could peer over them. “Defenseless? Ha. I’m the one that’s defenseless. Getting assaulted by sand.” Harm smiled and brushed the sand off of her perfect, bronzed stomach. “Well, since you’re going to be such a baby about it…” “I’m NOT being a baby.” “Yes you are.” “Am not.” “Are too.” “Am not.” Instead of replying, he practically laid down next to her so he could kiss her. She sighed and circled her arms around his neck, deepening the kiss. Once their tongues began to mesh, Harm pulled back. Breathless. “Honey, we better stop before I pick you up and take you back into that bungalow.” She smiled and pushed her sunglasses back up over her eyes. “I wouldn’t complain.” Harm smiled and lay the chair beside her. He picked up her hand and squeezed it. “Soon Sarah. Soon.” End part 7 Hotel Bora Bora Tsarina Smith Part 8 Harm and Mac spent an hour or so on the beach, before Mac had the urge to go shopping. She stood up, and dusted the sand off. “Where are you going?” She looked at Harm and smiled. “I have the urge to go shopping. Care to join me, flyboy?” He nodded. “Sure. What the hell.” She extended a hand and he stood up. He smiled at her. “Race ya to the room.” He took off running. Mac smiled and took off running after him. *** A while later, the two of them strolled hand in hand down the street, every once in a while going in a shop. The only thing that would have made things any better was if all the other women would stop checking out her boyfriend. He looked over at her and sensed her uneasiness and squeezed her hand. He stopped walking, pulled her to him and gave her a soft kiss. “I love you.” She smiled. “I love you too.” She pulled him into a clothing store and he smiled as she searched through racks of cute, fashionable clothes. “Mac, I have a question.” She looked up from the pair of leather pants she was considering. “What’s that?” He sighed. “Well, Thanksgiving is in a few weeks. And I was just wondering if you’d want to spend it with me and my grandma up at her farm. It’ll just be the three of us. Mom and Frank always go out of town for Thanksgiving, so It’ll just be…” Harm shut up, realizing that he was rambling. Mac folded the pants over her arm and gave him a hug. “I’d love to.” *** That night, everyone split up for dinner. Trish and Frank went and had dinner and a midnight sail on the yacht. Tiner and Webb went on a double date with the girl Tiner had become inseparable with, Caroline and her sister Mary Beth. Bobbie and Turner went back to the club they all went to that first night. Sydney wanted to take care of AJ and Chloe, so the three of them and AJ Chegwidden decided to go to a local seafood restaurant and then to a movie. Harriet, Bud, Harm & Mac went to dinner. They went to a colorful Mexican restaurant. Bud pulled Harriet’s chair out for her and leaned over to kiss her cheek. Harm smiled and did the same for Mac, only kissing her on the lips. Bud and Harriet smiled at the couple and then at each other. Mac looked at the menu and shut it. “I know what I want.” Harriet nodded. “Me too.” Bud and Harm rolled their eyes as they still studied the menu. “Just like a woman.” Bud said. “Thinking with everything other then their head.” Mac raised her eyebrows and looked at Harm. “And what is that supposed to mean Flyboy?” He grinned. “You know. In matters of love, they think with their hearts. Not their heads. When it comes to food, they think with their stomachs. They don’t think about the fat or the poor animals being killed for the sake of chicken burritos.” Mac lifted her menu and smacked Harm in the chest with it. “Jerk.” He smiled. “And you love me anyways,” She sighed. “Yes, for some reason I do.” The waiter finally made his way over to their table to take their drink orders. He was surprised when they ordered either sodas or teas. He had never seen a group of adults all order non alcoholic drinks before. ‘They’re all probably cheap.’ He walked away to get their drinks and came back to the table. He sat the iced tea’s in front of the dark haired couple and the iced waters in front of the other couple. He smiled and asked if they were ready to order. Mac nodded. “I’d like the two chicken burritos with the white cheese sauce and salsa.” Harriet looked at him and smiled. “I’ll take the same please.” “I’ll take the shrimp fajitas.” Bud sighed. “Um. Well.” “I’ll take the two beef burritos with cheddar sauce and the wild rice on the side.” The waiter finished writing the order down. “Ok. I’ll be right back.” Harriet smiled. “Mac, Harm… the reason that we wanted you guys to come out to dinner with us was because we have something to tell you.” Her and Bud looked at each other and smiled. “I’m pregnant.” She let out a sound similar to a squeal and Mac got up and moved over to give Harriet a hug. “I am so happy for you guys.” She sat back down and looked at Harm’s smiling face. “This is wonderful, you guys. Congratulations.” Harm smiled and leaned over to shake Bud’s hand. He got up and kissed Harriet’s cheek. “Harm, Mac, will you guys be this babies god parents too?” Bud asked. Mac got misty eyed. “Oh Bud, We’d be honored.” Harriet stood up. “Mac, I’m going to the restroom. Care to join me?” She nodded and stood up. “Be right back, boys.” Once in the restroom, Harriet turned to face her friend. “Mac, I am so scared.” Mac grabbed Harriet and gave her a long, tight hug. “Harriet, sweetie, everything is going to be fine this time. What happened last time was a freak accident. A huge mistake. Nothing will happen this time. Even if Bud, Harm, the Admiral and I have to deliver the baby by ourselves, like we did with AJ.” Harriet smiled and hugged Mac again. “Thank you so much. You have no idea how much yours and Harm’s support means to us.” “We love you guys. And we love AJ and we love Sarah. And we’ll l ove this baby too. You guys are family and there is nothing we wouldn’t do for you.” Harriet sniffed and wiped her eyes. “We love y’all too.” The two women wiped their eyes and walked out to the table. Mac smiled as she noticed how both men stood up, upon seeing the women re-enter the room. Harm pulled out Mac’s chair and leaned over to kiss her cheek. “Everything ok?” Mac smiled. “Yeah.” *** AJ and Sydney collapsed on the sofa. “Oh my God. I forgot how exhausting children were.” Sydney exclaimed. AJ pulled his girlfriend down on his chest. “I’m so glad mine is grown.” Sydney agreed. “Me too. Danny is enough trouble now. As a child he was ten times worse.” “You know what?” AJ said. “What?” “Marry me.” She shot up. “What?!” He smiled. “I’m serious. Marry me. I love you Sydney. I want us to be together forever.” Sydney laughed. “Yes, AJ, yes. I love you so much.” She grabbed his face and kissed him. “Oh, I love you. I can’t believe this.” AJ reached into his pocket and pulled out a tiny black box. “I bought this a long time ago. Before we ever broke up. And once we got back together and I decided that I wanted to marry you, I’ve been carrying it around waiting for the right moment.” he opened the box and pulled out the ring. It was stunning. The large, princess shaped stone was set in on a platinum band, with a smaller princess cut stone on each side. “Oh, AJ.” She gasped, “It’s beautiful.” He took her hand and slid it on her finger. “I love you.” “I love you too.” She leaned in an kissed him softly. *** Bobbie and Turner walked into their room. She tossed her purse onto the couch and looped her arms around his neck. “Thank you for tonight. It was amazing.” Turner leaned in and kissed her. “Nothing is to good for you, Congresswoman Latham.” She pulled back. “There is something I need to talk to you about. She sat down on the bed. “I um… Well. I am running for Governor next re-election.” His eyes widened. “When did you decide this?” “About a week ago. I talked to my assistants about it and they think I could win. The only thing that could mess up my chances are the people in my life. I want you to be in my life for a long time to come. You are very important to me. But so is my career. And I need to know if you’ve got any skeletons in the closet that could come out and hurt my chances.” Turner looked down at his shoes. “Bobbie, very few people know about this. I was married.” He saw her eyes widen. “Her name was Natalia Isabella Marioscotti. She was Italian and we met when I was briefly stationed over there. We married and had a little girl. We named the baby Madeline. She was beautiful. The light of my life. One day I walked in and I found Natalia with another man. Some Italian officer. I filed for divorce. We divorced and then prepared to go through custody proceedings. Natalia took Maddie before we could go to court.” He looked into her sympathetic eyes. “That was two years ago. I haven’t seen either of them since.” Once the last word was out of his mouth, Bobbie pulled him into his arms. Tears began to fall and she held him closer to her, holding him, crying with him for the child he lost. “Do you think that could hurt your chances?” She wiped a tear from his cheek. “Baby, I don’t give a damn if it hurts my chance.” She leaned in and kissed him. For once, her career wasn’t the only thing that mattered to her. End part 8 Part 9 Harm and Mac stumbled back into their room about midnight. There was a note on the door. “Mac, Harm: Chloe and AJ fell asleep over here. They’re staying with us tonight, Much love, AJ & Syd.” Mac smiled. “Well Sailor. Looks like we’re alone tonight.” Harm smiled and pulled her to him. “What are you going to do about that, Ninja Girl?” She smiled and kissed him gently. “Well, I could think of a few things.” “Such as…” He began planting kisses on her neck. She smiled and ran her fingers through his hair. “Maybe a little late night swim?” He smiled. “That sounds like fun.” Harm ran his hands down her body. “I guess we should go change into our suits.” “Who said anything about bathing suits?” Mac said with a smile. She pulled out of his embrace and dipped into the bedroom. She came back out a few minutes later, wearing a short purplish/pink terry robe. “Hurry it up, Flyboy.” He smiled and went to change as well. He came back out, wearing a pair of navy blue swim trunks. They walked out on the beach and harm stood there. “Um Mac,” He couldn’t believe he was shy about this, “we’re you serious about not wearing a suit?” She smiled and untied the belt to her robe. She let it slide off her shoulders, revealing her lovely naked body. “What do you think, Commander?” His eyes widened. He had expected her to be stunning, but this surpassed all of his fantasies. She ran out into the water, leaving him still staring after her. “Oh what the hell.” He muttered. He slid his trunks off and followed her into the water. Swimming up behind her, he wrapped his arms around her waist. “Have I mentioned lately that I love you?” She turned in his arms to face him. “I love you too.” He leaned in to kiss her. His hands roamed over her back. He couldn’t realize how beautiful she was. He practically took her breath away. “You are so beautiful.” She smiled. “You’re pretty nice on the eyes yourself. I love you so much, Harm.” He kissed her again, this time the kiss grew deeper. Harm slid his arms down so that his hands brushed her thighs. Mac lifted up and wrapped her legs around his waist. “Are we moving to fast?” He asked. “No. Baby I’ve wanted you for so long.” He began to kiss her neck while he slowly entered her. At this first contact, she gasped. His size surprised her. She moaned as he began to gently thrust. Finally, they came together. “I love you he whispered.” “I love you too.” *** The two of them emerged from the water, quickly dressing again. Harm picked her up and carried her back to their room. They went into their room and he laid her on the bed. He untied the sash and began kissing her neck. She moved her hands down to his shorts and pulled them off. “Make love to me, Harm.” Always willing to do as he was told, he did and then they fell asleep in each others arms. *** The next morning, Mac smiled as she woke up in her lovers arms. ‘God, I’ve wanted this for so long.’ She snuggled back in his embrace and tried to sleep some more. She was almost there when she felt soft kisses on her neck. “Morning sweetheart.” She rolled over to face him. “A good morning it is.” She smiled. “Last night was amazing.” “Yes it was. You know, Sarah, I could get used to this. Waking up with you in my arms every morning. It’s pretty wonderful.” “What are you heading towards, Harm?” He sighed. “Mac, baby, I know we just got together and this is new and everything. I love you and I want us to be together. Move in with me.” She opened her mouth. There were a thousand reasons she should say no. But she loved him and wanted to be with him. “I’d love to Harm I think we should get a new place, one that’s just ours.” “One with no history.” “Exactly.” She smiled and kissed him. “We should probably get up and get dressed.” Harm sighed. “I know.” He got an evil little grin on his face. “Honey, I think we should probably shower together. You know. To conserve water and all.” Mac smiled. “I think that’s a very good idea.” She got up and led him to the shower. *** A while later, Trish, Frank, Sydney and AJ were sitting in the Café on the beach when harm and Mac walked up. “Hey guys,” Harm said. “What’s up?” Trish looked from her soon, to his girlfriend and smiled. Looks like they had a whole lot of fun last night. “We’re still waiting on the others.” Chloe ran up to the table, little AJ in her arms. She hopped on Mac’s lap. “Mac!” She smiled and kissed her big sister on the cheek. “Did you guys have fun last night?” She and Harm shared a look. “Yeah, honey. We did. Did you guys have fun?” Chloe looked at AJ & Sydney and smiled. “Yeah, we wore them out, but it was fun.” Finally, all the others came up to them and took their seats around the table. “So,” Harriet started, “What’s the big news?” She poured some of the minestrone soup into the bowl in front of her and poured herself a glass of tea as well. AJ and Sydney smiled at one another. “Well,” AJ began, “Last night I proposed to Sydney and she said yes.” Everyone at the table started congratulating the couple, Harriet and Mac jumping up to give her a hug. Sydney held up her hand, to show them the ring. “Oh, we’re so happy for you.” Harriet said. Harm shook the Admiral’s hand. “Congratulations, sir.” He smiled and said, “Thank you.” He cleared his throat. “Harm, I know this breaks the professional boundaries, but will you be my best man?” Harm stared open mouthed. “Sir, I’d be honored.” Sydney smiled at him, and looked at Mac and Harriet. “I don’t have that many female friends you know. In fact, I feel closer to Trish then to anyone I’ve met in a long time. I’ve asked her to be my Maid of Honor, but will the two of you be my bridesmaids?” Mac felt her eyes well up. “I’d love too.” “I would too.” Harriet sniffled. “When will the wedding be?” Sydney looked at her fiancé. “We were thinking spring. Maybe April, or March.” Harriet looked at Bud and he nodded. “I’ll be kinda big by then.” She looked at their confused faces. “I’m pregnant.” Everyone’s faces went from confusion to joy in a matter of seconds. “Harriet, that’s wonderful.” Trish said. She had heard about Harriet’s last pregnancy and was absolutely overjoyed for the young couple. *** The rest of the trip was wonderful, but before they knew it the trip was over and it was time for a return to the real world. Trish and Frank boarded a jet to take them back to la Jolla, while those who were DC bound, took a separate jet. The ride home was very peaceful. Sydney spent the trip in AJ’s arms, admiring her ring and talking to him about wedding plans. Harriet talked softly with Bud about the new baby, and played with their son. Harm and Mac talked softly about everything. If it could be talked about, they discussed. Webb and Tiner bickered over the sisters they dated. Turner and Bobbie worked on her campaign. Chloe, well, Chloe slept the whole way home. Her and her “guardians” spent their last night in Bora Bora on the town and the young girl was worn out. Harm excused himself and went to get a packet of pictures out of his bag. They were the ones he had taken while on his trip. He had gotten them developed that morning and forgot to look at them. He smiled as he flipped through them and paused as he came to one. ‘This one would go in his office’ he thought with a smile. *** JAG headquarters Monday Morning Mac walked into her boyfriends office and sat down in the chair in front of his desk. She noticed a picture frame and picked it up. She began laughing as she saw what it was. It was from the club, that first night. Her, Harm and Turner dancing, well, grinding. She smiled and grabbed a post it note. “Baby, when we’re grinding, you get so excited…” I love you, Mac. The End
